A look at the complex's mint, today a coin museum.
The mint of the Ganjali Khan complex is a small domed building on the eastern side of the square where the city's coins were struck in Safavid times. Today it is a museum with coins from many periods of Iranian history.
What the coins tell
Inscriptions record the mint city, the year and sometimes a line of poetry — an unrivalled source for historians of Kerman's economy.
